Didn't really know what Jesus was doing between 1914 and 1919.
Deep down they really are pragmatic sometimes.

we don't know what jesus was doing during the period of 1914-1919. contrary to the wt doctrine an elder during tonights bookstudy for no apparent reason made this statement after the last paragraph for tonights book study was commented on .most unusuall don't you think?

we have an emergency situation developing in little rock arkansas.
if you are nearby.
and are familiar enough with the blood policy and willing to help, please contact.
What do you mean "familiar with the blood policy". What sort of help can be provided?

isn't it true that the roman catholic church put together the bible (canonized the books), and decided the order and all that?
if this isn't true set me straight please.. what do the witnesses think about this?
is it (the bible) just as valid if part of "christendom" decided which books of the bible would be included?
Why would God use apostate Christendom if he had a representative FDS he could have used .... (since the JWs claim that there is a line of descent from the time of the apostles leading to their modern day GB)? Well, then why didn't Jehovah use them instead of the apostate Catholics?
That brings to mind this point - the nwt 'bible' is not even a translation, but simply a collection of stolen and altered other bibles. A natural progression for the wt - there's no end to their lies - they just keep comin.

.
since getting disfellowshipped or leaving the wt is obviously an extremely difficult and painful experience should one try to convince believing jwses that their believe-system is wrong?
am i right or not that it might be better not to try to put doubts on their minds ??
Should people have babies if it hurts women and it's risky?
one thing a jw has to have is a goal.
a goal for getting to the meetings, a goal for answering at the meetings, a goal to pay attention at the meetings.....a goal to go out in field service, a goal to talk at the doors, a goal to place literature.....a goal for everything under the sun!
do you find that you are sick and tired of goals and need a breather, or have you set new goals?
My new goal is to bring that religion down.

oh dear.
jwzone never fails to deliver, and the only thing that can make me laugh when i have a hangover this bad (sucky thing is, i don't even drink!
) is a post like the following from that haven of dubiness:"size matters not," to borrow a phrase.
Those demons can hide in things, take over your brain like body snatchers, use force when they want to throw people out windows, steal your children and stuff...........
They really are quite a capable sort of being aren't they. But you know that holy spirit is just an it, a sort of forcey thing, you know, an it thing.
lol .. they've got to be kidding (making baby goats)

the following is a beginning to something i have been thinking about for a long time.
any ideas or additional thoughts would be appreciated.
lee.
The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. The Governing Body takes this place now.
I differ on that - due to their changes I don't think they do occupy Moses' seat for any, but only lie about that too . As you say, "they did not add to or take away from it - unlike the WTS today".
They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders - absolutely - sinful accusations, and even while putting literal loads on people.
they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and have men call them 'Rabbi.' - where they meet to buy and sell
Through their false teachings and prophesies they have not allowed people to get to know the true message in the scriptures. very much so
How all so true

yes, i know, im back........ kind of - it was a short retirement wasnt it?
well, i had a discussion with a jw friend not long ago and i need some info.
is independent thinking a disphellowshipping offense?
He does not advocate or insist on personal opinions or harbor private ideas when it comes to Bible understanding. Rater, he has complete confidence in the truth as it is revealed by ..."the faithful and discreet slave."
In my mind - an eating of blood.

my dearest brother in christ, fiver... may you have peace!.
thank you for your "second" witness to the truth regarding what we can/should give for our "friends".
to paduan and joe malik... may you both have peace... and may i take this opportunity to respond to the issue of james, blood and holy spirit?
holy spirit has many uses, but in some texts it simply refers to the meeting itself
Well, it could/may be - but I don't think it's for me.
"the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things"
